Miss Merker and Speedy Gonzalez

Hi! My memories of OLA are few but I do recall the days when we had warm milk. I recall the Friday night dances, Teen night in the basement of the church when we played ping-pong. I remember Mrs. Mercker in 2nd grade. Sister Paul in 5th grade. Does anyone remember Father Farrell, he said mass faster than any other priest ever could. My mother would refer to him as Speedy Gonzalez! I plan on being at the Marriott-LaGuardia on Nov 8 through the 9th. Keep me posted

V8 Juice and Peanut Butter

Talk about eating standing up and a cafeteria that only served containers of milk, I can remember forgetting to bring my lunch on several occasions at OLA. It probably happened to you too. I would often trade milk for half of a sandwich or something. When I got caught, the punishment was being sent to the convent kitchen - through that mysterious door at the end of the hallway. On the menu was a peanut butter sandwich served with a warm can of V8 Juice. Not exactly thirst quenching. Does anyone remember the music that Sr. Paul would play for us at lunch every day...for eight years! Remember she would put the microphone in front of the record player. Wow, have I got memories... Remember reading class and the SRA cards?

John, the LGA Marriott works for me. I'll be coming in from Atlanta.

I look forward to seeing everyone.
