Miss Marus

When I was first placed in her class I was terrified because I heard what a "hard" teacher she was. Math was always my most difficult subject, and I remember one day breaking down in tears in class, while everyone else was out in the playground. Miss Marus was "tutoring" me - but inwhat part of math I cant remember now. I remember her sitting down next to me (and in those small desks it was not easy for someone her size) and soothing my hair until I stopped crying. She reached over, closed the math book, looked me straight in the eye and said "Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Math is your weakness, but I bet someday you will end up teaching math, and when your students dont understand a concept, you will always remember today." How right she was, God rest her soul.
